Richardson qualified for the Tokyo Olympics with a time of 10.86 seconds at the US Olympic Trials. She also set a personal best of 10.72 seconds earlier in the year, making her a favorite in the category. However, a positive drug test forced her to withdraw from the Games. That left Teahna Daniels as the only American to advance to the final on Saturday.
A day before the women’s 100m final, Richardson posted a tweet asking fans if they had missed her appearance at the Games. In the final, Elaine Thompson-Herah, Shelly-Ann Fraser Pryce and Shericka Jackson locked the podium to show Jamaica’s dominance. This sent Twitter into a frenzy, with Minaj posting a tweet congratulating the three athletes.
However, the 38-year-old didn’t stop there as she responded to a tweet from Beenie Man. With Beenie Man referring to Richardson’s previous tweet, Minaj didn’t hold back in her response.
With Beenie Man tweeting, “How wi fi miss Yeah ???”, Minaj responded by saying, “Big up uno self.”
