Newcastle star Bruno Guimaraes has dropped perhaps the biggest hint about his future following his latest purchase.
While the Newcastle star has a release clause in his contract, several clubs are interested in Bruno Guimaraes including Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain.
But the Brazil international might have indirectly told them he is happy where he is after buying a £4million mansion in the north-east.
According to The Telegraph, Guimaraes has purchased a luxury property in Darras Hall, in an upscale area of Northumberland, just outside the city of Newcastle-Upon-Tyne.
He and his wife Ana Lidia Martins just had their second child, born last month, and it is believed this house will be their family home.
Family is extremely important to Guimaraes, who also became a father for the first time in October 2022 while at Newcastle.
The midfielder’s parents also often come from Brazil.
It is perhaps the clearest indicator yet that the former Lyon star has committed his long-term future to Newcastle.
His contract includes a release clause worth £100 million after signing a new deal in October 2023.
However, no club has indicated they are willing to reach that figure and the Magpies are not interested in negotiating a lower price.
Potential suitors would have counted on Guimaraes to force the issue, but after purchasing a new mansion, it appears he is happy where he is.
And it’s not the only boost for Eddie Howe, who saw Joelinton sign a new contract after months of speculation he would leave.
The two Brazilians are best friends at Newcastle and form a destructive midfield at St. James’ Park.
Newcastle are also prepared to reject any offers for Alexander Isak this summer, who has also attracted the attention of Arsenal.
The Sweden international has had a fine campaign so far with 21 goals in all competitions, including seven goals in his last six Premier League matches.
Newcastle find themselves sixth in the Premier League and are a strong bet to finish one place in the Europa League this season.
