Jennifer Lopez admitted she still doesn’t know what she’s going to wear to the 2024 Met Gala –– despite being a co-host at the May 6 event.
“I have a few different sketches, I’m still deciding,” she said in an Instagram video shared by Vogue on Wednesday, three weeks before the star-studded red carpet.
The “On The Floor” singer, 54, explained that she’s just “one of those people who chooses at the last minute.”
“I like to make choices, and then I’m like, ‘OK, this is how I feel today,’ and then we try to create some kind of amazing look, because it’s looks night!” she continued.
Lopez also called co-hosting alongside Anna Wintour Zendaya, Bad Bunny and Chris Hemsworth a “real honor” and “a nice thing to be apart of” for the “biggest night in fashion.”
Co-chairs and other high-profile guests will all adhere to the 2024 theme, “Sleeping Beauties: Awakening Fashion,” with the “Garden of Time” dress code, referencing the historic nature of the exhibition that will ‘accompanied.
Lopez has already worn many head-turning looks over the years since she first attended the famous event in 1999.
Most recently, she stunned in a black criss-cross Ralph Lauren dress that showed off her abs with a long pink bottom and a separate black train at the 2023 Met Gala that paid tribute to Karl Lagerfeld.
The “This is Me…Now” star skipped the gala in 2022 but opted for a rodeo-inspired look in a brown Ralph Lauren dress with a deep neckline and long leg slit in 2021.
Lopez’s husband, Ben Affleck, didn’t walk the red carpet with her, but he joined her later, and they were photographed kissing with their masks on.
The Grammy winner also showed off her fashionista skills by wearing a silver beaded Versace dress in 2019 for the “Camp: Notes on Fashion” theme, which she attended with her then-fiancé, Alex Rodriguez.
For more Page Six style…
Lopez is just one of many celebrities expected to walk up the Met’s famous steps, but Wintour is keeping the guest list close to her chest.
However, Page Six exclusively reported that some of the celebrities in attendance would include past guests Rihanna, Kendall Jenner, Olivia Rodrigo, Uma Thurman, Sarah Paulson, Cara Delevingne and Barry Keoghan.
Some newcomers are also expected to make their Met Gala debut, including Lily Gladstone of “Killers of the Flower Moon” and Ayo Edebiri of “The Bear.”
Sources also tell us that Gisele Bündchen was on the coveted list, but it’s still unclear if she’ll bring her boyfriend, jiu-jitsu instructor Joaquim Valente.
