It’s been a few months since Katy Perry announced in the February 12 episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! that she is going to leave American idol at the end of the current season.
She told the talk show host: “I think this will probably be my last show, my last season for Idol. I mean, I like Idol such. It connected me to the heart of America, but I feel like I need to get out and feel that pulse at my own pace.
This beat may be the new music Katy is working on in the studio, but what about the possibility of finally having time to plan her wedding with her fiancé? Orlando Bloom after May 19 Idol final? After all, the couple has been engaged since Valentine’s Day 2019.
“It definitely makes room for a lot of different things,” Katy said. Parade At American idol Top 10 Tastemaker events. “Not that Idol took a lot of time. I really enjoyed my entire time on the show. And it doesn’t even feel like work. I’m really looking forward to getting out and seeing the world again with my music, so that’s what I plan to do in the future.
“I think that’s really what I can do when I see the world,” Katy said when asked. “I think that’s really what I’m looking forward to. Also, taking my daughter on the road. She’s never been on the road. So I can’t wait to go to all the zoos in the world or all the playgrounds in the world. This is what I will do on my days off.
As for his final season on American Idol-at least for now – Katy said she really believes in several artists, and that some of them have historically been the type of candidates who Idol voters always vote for it.
“But I’m really excited about some of the new things and the differences [performers],” she said. “I like Abi [Carter] And Kayko. Kayko is like a wild card, but it’s amazing how much he’s done. Abi is just constantly angelic. I love it.”
Katy leans a little more on the singer-songwriters because she sees more of herself in them and is happy to provide them with constructive criticism.
“As much as I want them to be next American idol, I hope to give them some feedback that they can apply once this show is over. This show is a crash course and reality is going to get very hot, very heavy and very harsh. [when it’s over].”
