Following their victory against Southampton on Saturday afternoon, Manchester City travel to Denmark to face FC Copenhagen in the second half of the UEFA Champions League group stage.
Over the weekend, City continued their Premier League conquest with a 4-0 win over Southampton.
The scoring started in the 20th minute, when Joao Cancelo dribbled past the Saints defense before kicking the ball past former Cityzen Gavin Bazunu.
Later in the first half, Phil Foden would double Manchester City’s lead with a chipped shot that put the ball beyond Bazunu’s reach.
Riyad Mahrez would have his name on the scoreboard after Rodri played a perfect pass to the Algeria international, who slid the ball home to make the game 3-0.
To seal the Saints, Erling Haaland scored from close range in the 65th minute to take the Norwegian’s tally to a Premier League-leading 16 goals.
For his efforts, catching a goal and assisting Haaland’s goal, Joao Cancelo was named man of the match for the first time this season.
On the other side of the ticket is FC Copenhagen, who entered the game following a draw against FC Nordsjælland in the Danish Superliga.
On the continental front, the Lions’ most recent match was against Manchester City, against whom they suffered a 5-0 loss last week.
Erling Haaland netted a first-half brace against Copenhagen in their first encounter, with Julian Alvarez and Mahrez also making their way onto the scoresheet.
A win on Tuesday night would take Pep Guardiola and his team to the Champions League knockout stage – which has become standard procedure for the Catalan at the Etihad Stadium.
Guardiola will have to book his tickets without three defenders as John Stones, Kyle Walker and Kalvin Phillips all remain out of Cityzen’s squad due to respective injury concerns.
Walker and Phillips continue to recover from surgery, while Stones progresses towards his return to the field.
The Three Lions trio are hoping for a full recovery soon, as the World Cup is now just over a month away.

FC Copenhagen v Manchester City will take place at Parken Stadium – commonly referred to as Parken – in Copenhagen, Denmark.
