Liam Gallagher reveled in rivals Manchester City’s struggles as Liverpool and Arsenal suffered defeats in the title race.
The Reds and Gunners both missed the chance to overtake the reigning champions at the top of the Premier League with home defeats to Crystal Palace and Aston Villa respectively.
Liverpool lost 1-0 to the Eagles at Anfield before Arsenal were beaten 2-0 by Aston Villa at the Emirates Stadium.
As City beat Luton 5-1 on Saturday, they are top of the table and two points clear of both clubs with six games remaining in the league this season.
And Gallagher, a die-hard City fan, was quick to take to social media and mock Liverpool and Arsenal for losing ground in the title race.
“To all my LFC fans, listen up,” the rock legend told X shortly after the Liverpool defeat, while sharing a link to the Beastie Boys song Mmm Drop.

Gallagher then added: “Liverpool are f***ing s*** da da da da da yurgon.” [sic] Klopps af***** tit Jamie Caragss [sic] I’m crying hard da da da da Man City is the f****** b***** like you were Terry Barry Gary Larry Harry LG x”
A little later he said: “I’ve never wanted to sing the blues so much, City win the scousers lose oh city you made me sing the blues.”
Arsenal were next in line for Gallagher’s mockery as he also shared the aforementioned Beastie Boys song along with: “To all my super fan boys Gooner MCFC LG x”
“The AFC sit down,” he added after the Gunners’ defeat to Villa, before his social media antics ended with: “Don’t f*** with Villa.”
Many would have predicted that City would end the day third in the table and one point behind Arsenal and Liverpool.
However, these two results completely changed the situation and the reigning champions found themselves in control.
As the season gathers pace, City have the most games left in all competitions compared to their rivals.
All three are competing in Europe, while Pep Guardiola’s side also face an FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea next weekend.
City are aiming for a record fourth consecutive title and know they cannot afford to make any mistakes in recent weeks, just as Arsenal and Liverpool have done.
Gallagher could very well see his side win back-to-back trebles too, with his beloved club the happiest team on Sunday night.
