Katy Perry wants to leave you something to remember “When I’m Gone”. So, the singer posted some behind-the-scenes photos from the video shoot for her new dance-tastic single with DJ/producer Alesso. In the series of snaps, Perry shows off some of the costumes from the high-fashion visual, opening with a provocative topless snap in which she’s wearing only wide-leg jeans and a knowing over-the-shoulder look as she struts stands facing a wall with his hands in the air next to a sign that warns: “do not water”.
“Let it burn baby,” Perry, 37, captioned the series, tagged #WIG.
In a second photo, Perry stares at the camera while grabbing a fistful of hair with a suit holder spilling out behind her, then sips a red drink from a plastic cup and rocks her chainmail gaze into another. The carousel ends with Perry flanked by her hair and makeup team as she models the red lace-up bustier and black pants combo from the “When I’m Gone” video.
“When I’m Gone” debuted at No. 4 on Billboard’s Dance/Electronic Digital Songs chart and at No. 17 on the Hot Dance/Electronic Songs multi-metric chart.
The ‘WIG’ clip – which finds Perry browsing through more than half a dozen outfits – dropped Monday night at halftime of the 2002 College Football Playoff National Championship. On Wednesday, Perry celebrated fiancé Orlando’s 45th birthday Bloom with a sweet message paying homage to the generous spirit of the actor. “Happiest 45th to the kindest, deepest, most touching, sexy and strongest man I know,” Perry wrote alongside a photo gallery of his longtime love. “thank you for being a constant compass, an unshakable anchor and for bringing joy to life in every room you enter.”
