Fresh out of her new Las Vegas residency, Katy Perry brought her signature campy style to Studio 8H on the January 29 episode of “Saturday Night Live,” which was hosted by legendary actor Willem Dafoe. Joined by several mushroom-clad dancers, Perry’s “SNL” set looked straight out of “Alice in Wonderland.” Perry stunned in a skintight red latex bodysuit paired with matching fringed leggings and a mushroom top hat as she delivered a flawless performance of her new single, ‘When I’m Gone,’ featuring the Swedish EDM producer Alesso. She also performed an acoustic version of 2019’s “Never Really Over” while donning a fluffy, ruffled baby blue dress.
Perry’s appearance marked her fourth time as a musical guest on the sketch comedy show, coinciding with her Las Vegas residency titled “Play,” which runs through March 19. In December, Perry released his long-awaited new single, “When I’m Gone,” with an accompanying music video, which premiered at halftime of the 2022 College Football Playoff National Championship.
