Jennifer Lopez recently made a return to the neighborhood, enjoying a night out on Broadway with her sisters in New York City, where they grew up.
Over the weekend, youngest JLo, along with her sisters Leslie and Lynda, attended a performance of “Cabaret,” capturing the family affair with a selfie shared on the actress’ Instagram Story. The photo showed the close trio smiling at the camera and was affectionately captioned: “Sisters ❤️❤️❤️.”
While JLo is a global superstar and is constantly in the spotlight, her older sister Leslie prefers a life away from the media glare, contrasting with their younger sister Lynda, a renowned author and journalist.
The Lopez sisters, daughters of Guadalupe and David, share a strong family bond, shaped by their upbringing in a close-knit family. Although now divorced, the 54-year-old recounts how her parents, both from Puerto Rico, instilled a strong ethic in her and her sisters.
“I watched my parents. My father worked nights and I was aware of everything he did for us. My mother was a Tupperware lady and also worked at the school. I always felt like I couldn’t let them down.” the “Jenny From The Block” singer said in a 2013 interview with W Magazine.
In a conversation with People In 2021, during the pandemic, JLo spoke about the new appreciation she gained for family time, which had been restricted due to health precautions at the time.
“It became the number one thing that we, in a way, took for granted for so long… Not being able to see my mom and dad as much as we wanted, we didn’t make it past the vacation together – different things like where you realize health is the most important thing in our lives, so it became a major priority,” she told the outlet.
JLo was recently spotted with her beau Ben Affleck for Easter brunch on March 31, spending time with her loved ones. The couple was seen leaving Cecconi’s in Brooklyn, where passersby noticed Affleck, 51, placing his hand on his wife’s butt, a rare PDA moment for the two.
