McGregor shared footage of his announcement on social media, with the caption: “McGregorverse, we now own the fastest growing sports promotion in the world, BKFC ‘Take off the gloves and fight, bitch.'”

BKFC president Feldman was delighted with the news after welcoming McGregor to one of his events for an impromptu showdown with Mike Perry in 2023.

“Look, you have the biggest guy in all of combat sports right now as a co-owner of our company,” he said on the BKFC KnuckleMania 4 show.

The 35-year-old hasn’t fought since breaking his leg during a trilogy bout with Dustin Poirier in July 2021, but is expected to return later this year.

McGregor will face Michael Chandler at UFC 303 on June 29.

A win would put him in the ideal position to challenge for titles in multiple weight classes, but a loss could spell the end of his career as a top MMA fighter.

Whatever happens, McGregor now seems destined to fight at least once in bare-knuckle boxing before retiring from combat sports.
