“Sometimes things happen that you didn’t expect and you have to figure things out – or you’re in a space in your life where you have to step back and pause for a minute. Even though it’s something I love, it’s still my job, my job.
“There will be music at some point. When exactly ? I can’t say yet, but there will be. I love it too much not to. That’s all I know. There are so many things I want to do – but my number one job is to be a mom.
Janet was referring to her five-year-old son, Eissa, from her five-year marriage to her third husband – Qatari billionaire Wissam Al Mana – which ended in 2017.

Even after looking back at all she’s accomplished throughout her career, the performer said she’s not one to place much importance on career accomplishments.
“I’ve never been that person to lay out my awards. There’s nothing wrong with that, it’s just not me. Being able to wake up and see my baby another day. The space in which I could be at that moment in my soul. What I have accomplished in myself. What a long way I have come from that child until the woman I am today. It is a success”, she explained.
“If you came to my house, you would never know – if you didn’t know who I was – that I am an artist. I don’t have a single award on my wall.
Her Idea of Success: Even after reflecting on everything she’s accomplished throughout her career, the performer said she’s not one to value career accomplishments very much.
