And while diehard fans are already yearning for a spinoff, producer Jo Porter told Courier Mail’s SMARTdaily on Tuesday that you should “ never say never. ”
Although she is open to the possibility, Jo went on to say that she is happy that the eighth season is the end.

Jo added that as a producer it is an “absolute art” to know when a series has to end.

Wentworth producer Pino Amenta shared some photos from the last day on Twitter.

Wentworth, which is a new take on the iconic 1980s Prisoner series, has garnered widespread critical acclaim, winning several AACTA and Logie awards over the years.
