Micha Potter would have a new NBA home. Potter and the Utah Jazz have signed a two-way deal, according to insider The Athletic Shams Charania.
Potter spent his first two college years with Ohio State before transferring to Wisconsin for two years and making the jump to the NBA. As a senior, he averaged 12.5 points and 6 rebounds but was not drafted.
Potter spent most of last season with the Sioux Falls Skyforce, averaging a solid 17 points and 10 rebounds. He was able to get NBA action for the Detroit Pistons, where he appeared in 3 games and averaged 4 points and 3 rebounds.
The Jazz are starting life without star big man Rudy Gobert, which puts the former Wisconsin great in the perfect spot and receives significant playing time to prove himself.
Utah Jazz and center Micah Potter have agreed to a two-way NBA contract, sources tell me and @Tjonesonthenba. Potter spent part of last season with Detroit.
