U.S. Open champion Wyndham Clark broke the Pebble Beach course record by moving to the top of the Pebble Beach Pro-Am leaderboard.
The American, 30, holds the clubhouse lead in the third round at 17 under par after his superb round of 12 under par 60.
Clark shot 28 on the front nine, including four birdies and two eagles.
After four birdies and a bogey on the back nine Saturday, he needed an eagle on the par-five 18th for a 59 but missed a 26-foot putt.
The previous course record was 62, set by Tom Kite in 1983 and matched by fellow Americans David Duval in 1997 and Patrick Cantlay in 2021 as well as Austrian Matthias Schwab in 2022.
Meanwhile, Northern Ireland’s world number two Rory McIlroy is two under after shooting a third-round 69 following opening rounds of 71 and 74.
