Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta couldn’t believe what he saw after Ben White scored a ‘wonderful goal’ against Chelsea.
The Gunners defender scored his second and fifth of the evening to leave the Blues in disarray.
In the 70th minute, Martin Odegaard sent a perfectly chipped ball into the area and into the Whites’ race.
White then volleyed it first time into the top left corner of the goal, with many initially thinking it had taken a deflection before going in.
However, replays showed he wasn’t, and Arteta was seen with his hands on his head on the touchline, visibly impressed.
Speaking on talkSPORT commentary, former Manchester City defender Danny Mills was also impressed with White’s finishing.

“If it’s his goal and he puts it in the top corner, it’s an exceptional volley,” he said, before adding: “It’s a wonderful goal.”
Arsenal were the dominant team from the first minute at the Emirates Stadium and scored their opener within the first five minutes.
It was Leandro Trossard who scored their only goal of the first half, the second certainly saw them step up a gear.
White scored within seven minutes of the restart capitalizing on poor Chelsea defending.
Former Blue Kai Havertz then scored twice against his former club to inflict even more damage on the visitors.
White’s second of the game was arguably the best of the lot and capped off an excellent performance from Arsenal.
It’s a result that sends them back to the top of the Premier League even though City have two games in hand.
Chelsea’s defeat comes just days after they were eliminated from the FA Cup semi-finals and leaves their hopes of qualifying for Europe up in the air.
