Beloved meteorologist Al Roker has reportedly been rushed to hospital with blood clots, after being discharged last week.
“Al was rushed to the hospital after Thanksgiving,” People reported Wednesday, citing an unnamed source. The source added that he left in an ambulance.
In addition to this, the source said that the wife of the ‘Today’ weather presenter, journalist Deborah Roberts, found herself locked out of her car when it malfunctioned, trapping her telephone and personal effects.
Roker, 68, first posted about his plight on Instagram on November 18, saying he had been hospitalized with blood clots in his leg and lungs, but was “recovering”. He was released on Thanksgiving Day, missing his first parade in 27 years.
Roker’s reprieve was short-lived. A day later, he was readmitted.
While he got home in time to watch at least part of NBC’s Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade – hosted by his “Today” castmates Hoda Kotb and Savannah Guthrie – the weatherman also missed the lighting from the Rockefeller tree on Wednesday.
The upstate New York tree lighting was again celebrated by Guthrie and Kotb, as well as Craig Melvin and “Access Hollywood” anchor Mario Lopez.
