This legendary ’70s TV star is putting an end to online speculation that her recent fall happened during sex.
Suzanne Somers – who turned 74 on Friday – said she and her husband Alan Hamel were just holding hands at the time of the crash, in an interview with Page Six.
“What a way to celebrate my 74th birthday – sometimes life gives you the middle finger!” said the Compagnie des Trois star.

Next, she described the circumstances of her bad spill with Hamel, 84, at their resort in Palm Springs, Calif., Earlier this month.
I was waiting at the top of the stairs – this is what happens when you are so in love with each other – I was waiting at the top of the stairs Alan, the love of my life, and I have a crutch [from a prior hip injury], Suzanne explained.
And he grabs my hand and stumbles and he falls. Because we hold hands, it’s the problem of being in love with each other, I’m going over him! she continued.
Then, winking at their famous sex life, Somers joked, “ I had more fun being on top of him. ”

“I have to thank him 50 times a day. When someone is so selfless and so tender… If he wants sex two, three, ten times a day, ”Suzanne mentioned timidly.
On the bright side too: “Every day it gets a little better… because Friday is my birthday, we’re going to celebrate with a big party on Friday night.
“I am better and I will recover,” she added later. ‘Life can change in a day [so] enjoy each day, because you never know what tomorrow might bring.

But as Friday marked the actress’ birthday, she announced that she was celebrating at a bar despite her hug.

The workout guru had a terrible fall down a staircase in early October.
A week later, she said she was “on the mend”. The 70s blonde bombshell looked radiant in an off-the-shoulder dress as she posed with her husband Alan.

Also in the image was Bruce Somers Jr, the 54-year-old son of Suzanne and her first husband Bruce Somers, who she was married to from 1965 to 1968.
Suzanne has let fans know that she has injured her neck requiring surgery. The blonde beauty fell down a staircase with Hamel and Suzanne felt the pain the most, she shared with an Instagram post.
After seeing a doctor, the actress realized that she had two irrelevant vertebrae and underwent an operation.

In the meantime, the couple took a break from their Facebook show.
Suzanne and Alan have been married for 43 years.

She added: ‘As most of you know I struggled most of the year with a broken hip and then Alan and I had an unfortunate fall on our way down the stairs to our House.
“I had severe pain after the fall which did not resolve – even after taking tequila!
After several scans, “it was determined that I had 2 displaced vertebrae causing pressure on the nerves and creating this tremendous pain.”

She said the good news was that she had neck surgery to correct the problems.
