The Hyundai i10 has been on sale since 2019 in markets such as India, Vietnam, Mexico, South Africa and, above all, Europe. The third generation of the model is a city car with a funky look but it is starting to age and the South Korean manufacturer plans to refresh it. We have the first spy shots showing the updated i10 being spied on public road testing in Germany.
Surprisingly, the prototype you see in the gallery below features a significant amount of disguises. However, there seems to be a very good explanation for the camouflage – the i10 appears to sport a completely redesigned front fascia with many changes from the outgoing model. These include new grille-integrated daytime running lights that look very inspired by the Tucson and other new models from the automaker.

It’s hard to say if the headlights will be changed but judging by these first shots, it looks like their shape won’t be altered. The overall shape of the bumper will likely continue without any new touches, although there may be changes to the area around the fog lights. There’s also a huge amount of camouflage on the rear, but we don’t think there are any major adjustments visible on the rear.
It’s also worth noting that the updated i10’s dashboard was also in disguise. Hyundai’s test driver was quick enough to cover the remaining part of the dashboard, hinting at a potential new layout for the entire cabin. Nothing can be confirmed at this point, however.
The third generation i10 is offered in different versions depending on the market. What you see in the gallery above is the European specification of the small hatch, which was designed, developed and built on the Old Continent. There, the city car is currently available with a turbocharged three-cylinder engine, as well as a naturally aspirated four-cylinder. We expect the lineup to continue without significant changes.
