American Scottie Scheffler was named PGA Tour Player of the Year for scoring an unprecedented hat-trick.
He is the first man to be Korn Ferry Tour Development Player of the Year (2019) and subsequently named PGA Tour Rookie of the Year (2020) and Tour Player of the Year.
He got 89% of the vote, with Cameron Smith and Rory McIlroy also being nominated.
Scheffler held off Northern Ireland’s McIlroy for win the Masters in April, with Smith tied for third.
McIlroy then sued Scheffler for win the FedEx Cup last month while Australia’s Smith also won his first major this year, The Open in July.
“Congratulations to Scottie on a remarkable season and unprecedented accomplishments,” said PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan.
“Without a doubt, one of the greatest compliments a player can receive is the approval of his peers, and the fact that Scottie’s season was both dominant and consistent says a lot about the members.
“With young stars like Scottie in the lead, the PGA Tour is in good hands for many years to come.”
