Billie Eilish is back in the studio with Finneas.
The pop star returned to the United States after the European leg of her ‘Happier Than Ever World Tour’ and shared a photo of herself in a recording studio with her prominent producer/co-writer brother.
It follows an interview with Billboard earlier this year in which Eilish spoke about her hopes of releasing a new album in 2023.
She said, “I just want to keep enjoying the music we make. And that’s why I think I’m a bit of a procrastinator when it comes to work, especially when we’re busy. In theory, I want to do a song and release an album next year.

“But that means we have to do it, and it’s really hard to make music, for me. I don’t want to do something that I don’t like, so I’m freaking out, but I never want to stop creating like we create and making music that touches people. Is that, you know? That’s the only longevity I don’t care about.
If any new material surfaces, it could well be included in the follow-up to Eilish’s second album, “Happier Than Ever,” released last July.
Meanwhile, in June, Eilish became Glastonbury Festival’s youngest headliner.
She said NME in a recent Big Read cover, she was initially unfazed by the prospect of performing at the legendary festival. The recent release BBC documentary Glastonbury: 50+ depicts her sizing up the terrain — she’s confused by the lush vegetation and half-jokes: “It’s all empty, man.” There is nothing there. Is that what it’s all about?
But like NME Writer Thomas Smith noted, “Today she would like to rectify her earlier apprehension: she categorically understands now.”
“I felt so stupid and ignorant, because if I was someone who thought Glastonbury was the biggest deal ever, and someone was to headline it without having a clue, I would say: “Dude, what the fuck is this?” she said NME in his London hotel a week before his title.
“I feel like I owe it to everyone to put on a good show because of that. I am so honored to be part of it.
“It’s heartwarming to see how much people care and think it’s going to be the best weekend of their lives,” she added.
NME went on to review his Glastonbury set, awarding it four stars.
“As always, Billie’s greatest strength has been embracing the road less traveled and bringing the weirdness into the mainstream, without watering it down for mainstream audiences,” Smith wrote.
“Tonight’s show was proof that the future is here, and Glastonbury’s future remains rock solid for the next half century if they continue to trust their guts and get things done. .”
In other news, Eilish called on her fans to vote in the upcoming US midterm elections.
