SEOUL (Reuters) – Samsung Electronics (005930.KS) has suspended operations at its smartphone factory in southeastern South Korea’s Gumi city after another worker tested positive for the coronavirus, a spokeswoman said.
The plant will resume production on Saturday, she said.
So far, six people who work at the Gumi factory complex, which makes Samsung’s premium G20 smartphones and the Z Flip foldable phones, have contracted the disease, resulting in temporary closures.
He temporarily closed the plant last month due to the virus.
