When he joined the Dragons after two years back home in England, the former South Sydney striker became the first man to play in professional rugby league after hip resurfacing surgery.
But his comeback was overshadowed in March when he was charged by police with sexual touching without consent.

He made two appearances for NSW Dragons Cup side in August after his absence from the club.
A month later, his twin brother and former Souths teammate Thomas told AAP that George was keen on a return to the NRL.
But the 30-year-old Englishman is leaving the Dragons after making just four first-year appearances and facing the challenge of playing in the NRL again.
“The Dragons thank George for his contribution to St George Illawarra and wish him the best in his future endeavours,” the Dragons said in a statement.
The Dragons have signed Zane Musgrove as a replacement for Burgess after the Wests Tigers stalwart was granted a release from the final two years of his contract.
