Bruce was in the collectibles world for over 40 years before his death, which police don’t believe was caused by foul play.
Bruce’s longtime friend and fellow collector Ben Leach told the New York Post: “I think for people who knew him through Comic Book Men, where he was appraising toys and other collectibles, it really didn’t scratch the surface of the knowledge he had.
He continued, “He knew about authentic quality antiques, he knew about early 20th century pin buttons for political candidates, he was an expert on the subject. He is truly one of the first people to bring Japanese toys to the East Coast.
