Celebrity pageant comes to Australia after successful UK run with Courtney Act
British TV production giant ITV is bringing a new celebrity drag show to Australian broadcasters.
Local drag sensation Courtney Act has already signed on for the UK version, which is called Queens for the Night.
The format will feature six celebrities who must perform a special drag show in front of a panel of judges, TV Tonight reports.

Each of the contestants will be tested on how well they lip sync, dance and sing.
They will also be graded on their ability to make impressions, perform comedy, and drag magic.
The show was inspired by the ‘makeover’ segments of the popular UK program Saturday Night Takeaway, hosted by Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly.
Courtney, 40, will join former Spice Girl Mel C, comedian Rob Beckett and West End star Layton Williams on the UK version’s judging panel.

If a local version is launched, it will be produced by ITV Studios Australia.
The news follows Courtney’s own makeover series, Courtney’s Closet, which premiered on Channel 10’s Pilot Showcase.
The reality show sees the Australian Idol and Drag Race alum turn a different guest celebrity into drag each week.
Meanwhile, Courtney strikes up an intimate conversation with each guest about their personal journey.
