Last year, Katherine opened up about the close relationship she has with her daughter, whom she calls her best friend, with The Mirror.
She said of Violet: ‘My daughter Violet and I have a unique relationship. I really love her and love her, and it’s special that I’ve been alone with her for a long time, so we have a bit of a sibling relationship – which I know can be dangerous when she gets older, but I am. risk.
‘We live in a democracy. I always say that we are not a mom and a 10 year old daughter. We are two 10 year old children, but one of us has a credit card and a driver’s license. We are unstoppable. ‘

The Netflix star got hitched up last December in a low-key ceremony in Denmark with childhood sweetheart Bobby Kootstra after the couple rekindled their romance.
And speaking exclusively to MailOnline, she recounted how a big star-studded wedding was never there.

“ I appreciate that other people like to party, but again I can put on nice dresses and not have to make a guest list, organize seats and hire a DJ, I just don’t want to do these things. ”
Katherine, who stars in her new sitcom The Duchess, reconnected with Bobby after 20 years when the couple agreed to have a one-night stand. Deep down, the actress always knew she would end up with her ex, even keeping the love letters he sent her as a teenager.
And she believes their relationship was only strengthened by the fact that Bobby was previously married.

Katherine explains, “ I loved her so much – I still have all of our letters we wrote to each other when we were 15/16 and had them turned into a cover for our one year anniversary because I’m a nerd. . .
“ But then I was happy that we weren’t together for 20 years too because I left and did all these interesting things and he left and did all these interesting things.
“ I don’t think most men are really ready to get married until they get divorced. I never really wanted to get married, it was when I became totally satisfied with the idea of being alone that he magically entered my life.
“I did my best not to marry her. I thought it wasn’t my plan, but when it’s meant to be, it’s so simple and I wish I had known it from the start.
