Get ready the hornbags! The premiere date for Kath & Kim: Our Effluent Life has finally been revealed
The highly anticipated return of the beloved sitcom Kath & Kim to television is just weeks away.
The cast of the hit show will mark the show’s 20th anniversary by returning in an epic two-part show called Our Effluent Life, which will premiere Monday, November 20 on Channel Seven and conclude the following night.
Along with the main characters, fans can also expect to see plenty of iconic actors in the special.

The special will be a combination of newly scripted material and a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the iconic show.
The all-star event will feature many iconic Australian celebrities including Kylie Minogue, Eric Bana, Mick Molloy and Barry Humphries.
Fans can also expect to see a moving tribute to late sports legend Shane Warne, who starred on the show in 2007.

Executive producer Rick McKenna announced the special last month, saying, “It’s fascinating and thrilling to see audiences around the world still love Kath & Kim after 20 years.”
He continued, “It was great fun getting the team together, lots of laughs all around, which we can’t wait to share very soon.”
“Ever since I was a young boy, I’ve admired Kath Day-Knight’s elegance and poise – and her clownish glory,” added Angus Ross, Seven Content Director, Entertainment Programming.

It comes after news broke the show, which aired from 2002 to 2007, is in pre-production for a reboot.
However, the Melbourne house used in the original series – aka Chateau Kath – has since been demolished. The owners decided it was no longer suitable for their family.
The hit series spawned the TV movie Da Kath & Kim Code in 2005 and the feature film Kath & Kimmerella in 2012.
