justin bieber might need a lesson in “knowing your audience”…because fans booed the singer while touring Montreal on Tuesday for criticizing his hometown Canadiens.
Bieber – a MASSIVE fan of the Habs’ hated rivals, the Toronto Maple Leafs – showed love for his team just before his last song of the night…saying, “And those Leafs, huh?”
The ‘Ghost’ crooner even paid tribute to his close friend for scoring a goal against the Canadiens on Saturday…saying: “Auston Matthews really does a job here in Montreal. »

Of course, the Canadiens are hot garbage this season … sitting at the very bottom of the standings with an 18-38 record, despite beating the Leafs over the weekend.
Biebs made sure to let the crowd know he was well aware of their struggles this season… adding, “How is that playoff spot looking for you this year?” and “Maybe next year, maybe next year.”
Fans weren’t having it – letting the booed birds fly and even shouting swear words as Bieber continued to disband his hometown team…even throwing out a “Go Leafs, Go” chant.
The stunt comes a week after the Leafs made their debut Drew House jerseys designed by Bieber … who they wore on ice for their Next Gen game.
Toronto Maple Leafs
Bieber finally got real and quit trolling… saying Montreal really is one of his favorite places to perform in the world.
Hey, you gotta give the guy some credit – he’s a die-hard fan no matter what territory he’s in.
