“Arik has coached many teams and led them to great achievements,” Israeli Culture and Sports Minister Chile Tropper said on Wednesday. “He left a mark on the Israeli basketball world, and his untimely passing is a terrible loss.”
The veteran coach has worked with many Israeli basketball teams over the years, including Ashkelon, Ashdod, Eilat, Nahariya and Netanya, his hometown.
“Arik was an inseparable part of Israeli basketball, began his career as a youth coach at Maccabi Netanya and raised dozens of players during his years as a coach,” the Israel Basketball League tweeted. -ball.
