Carl Nassib loves Taylor Swift and is always ready to talk about the pop sensation. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers linebacker remains a huge fan, apparently hoping for an eventual friendship with Swift. Nassib recently spoke about Swift in an interview, and is probably willing to spend a lot of money to get her to notice.
The LB have been playing since 2016 and have attended Swift’s concerts three times. What hasn’t gone unnoticed, however, is that Nassib is trying to impress Swift in every way possible.
While speaking with Men’s Health, the 29-year-old opened up about his fascination with the singer. The context was his HBO ‘Hard Knocks’ video from 2018, which was before the LB went gay.
Although a lot has changed since then, Carl Nassib’s love for Taylor Swift remains intact. The interviewer asked Nassib about the video, wondering if he was overcompensating at the time. Nassib denied this, stating that the whole point was to impress Swift.
“I will be in a platonic relationship with Taylor Swift in five seconds! I’m in love with Taylor Swift. I almost bought a Rollie just to be her friend, not even to date her.”
Apparently Swift doesn’t hang out with any nerds. She chooses rich and exciting people, which Nassib wanted to be. If it guaranteed a friendship with Swift, of course.
Carl Nassib continues to support Taylor Swift for her upcoming release
Years after the legendary Hard Knocks music video, Carl Nassib continues to support Swift with unparalleled enthusiasm.
This time, he shared Swift’s post on her IG story, excited about her new album “Midnights.”
“The hold this chick has on me is unrelenting.”
Nassib even talked about general stereotypes and how they affect the thought process. They briefly discussed her boyfriend and other possibly locked players in the league.
The 29-year-old even announced a partnership with The Trevor Project earlier this year. Moreover, he even donated a generous sum of $100,000 to the cause. The project is non-profit and works for suicide prevention and mental health awareness for LGBT youth.
The NFL star came out in a video last year, posting it on Instagram. He added that it was not for the attention, but for the representation that counts.
Since then, Carl Nassib has continued to gain support and will be looking forward to playing as an active NFL player.
