At GVN, our goal is to keep you up to date with the latest and greatest in home entertainment week after week. For the week of August 1, we have some amazing releases hitting our shelves. Read on for the full rundown of what you should have on your wishlist, and take the opportunity to find out what Michael and I are highlighting. The video attic this week.
Two of the biggest releases of the week come from the land of 4K UHD. First, we have the master Dario Argento presenting his classic giallo dark newly restored to 4K UHD for its 40th anniversary courtesy of Synapse Movies. The release features the film in Dolby Vision along with hours of special features, including an alternate film cut of the film titled Foolish.
More than Video Arrow we have the 4K UHD debut of by Joel Schumacher early 90s classic Flatliners featuring a buzzing set including Kiefer Sutherland, julia robert, Kevin Bacon, Guillaume Baudouinand Oliver Platt. The release is derived from an all-new 4K restoration from the original negative, approved by cinematographer Jan de Bont, plus enough new bonus content to fill a body bag.
In Animation Land, we have two highly anticipated titles hitting our shelves. First, we have a fun and dynamic 2005 series Krypto The Superdog: The Complete Series makes its DVD debut with all 39 episodes thanks to Warner Bros.. We then take a trip a little further with the famous 1990 animated series Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water – The Complete Series which is getting a newly remastered Blu-Ray release that brings the series to life in a whole new way thanks to Shout! Factory and GKIDS.
