Google’s Play Points rewards program, which offers around 1% reward points for your Play Store purchases, is now available in 13 additional countries, including 10 in Europe. The last time we heard about game points there were 9 countries on the list, so support has more than doubled with these latest additions.
Without further ado, here’s what’s new on the list:
- Denmark
- Finland
- Greece
- Ireland
- Italy
- Netherlands
- Norway
- Saudi Arabia
- South Africa
- Spain
- Sweden
- Swiss
- United Arab Emirates
As a preview of Play Points, the program is meant to entice Play Store users to buy more stuff, offering around 1% reward points in the US (or a little more depending on your level in the program). These points can be used for coupons, in-app purchases, and Google Play credit. It’s not a bad deal if you were already buying a lot from the Play Store, but it must be said that a rate of 1% is probably not enough to make most people buy more than they really need. would.
