History was made this past weekend for everyone who attended the annual WWE WrestleMania XL in Philadelphia, where they were able to take part in some of the epic moments in WWE history, including the return of Dwayne Johnson as The Rock.
In addition to this, fans from all over the world were also able to witness the exceptional performances delivered by all the other superstars who made this event an unforgettable one.
But even after fighting alongside his cousin Roman Reigns and sparring with new undisputed WWE Universal Champion Cody Rhodes, Johnson says the true highlight of this year’s WrestleMania was none other than Seth Rollins. These are his words while talking about this while answering questions from his fans.
Dwayne Johnson says Seth Rollins has taken center stage WrestleMania XL
The entire WWE is currently going through a metamorphosis, with Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque taking the creative reins of the company, and this year’s WrestleMania was part of that change.
One of the highlights of this event is none other than the return to the ring of Dwayne Johnson, aka The Rock, who once everything was wrapped up, spoke about it recently and recounted his experience.
Last Sunday, the Jungle cruise The star took to his Instagram and posted a video in which he answered fan questions related to his recent experience before, at and after WrestleMania XL.
He said he was proud of each of the superstars who made the show a smash hit, while praising his partner and cousin Roman Reigns and his opponent Cody Rhodes.
But according to him, the real MVP of this year’s WrestleMania was none other than Seth Rollins, who performed on both nights of the event and put on a show on the biggest stage of them all. He said:
“Congratulations to Seth Rollins, who I think is the true MVP of WrestleMania weekend. Seth fucking Rollins. What an honor it was to share the ring with all three of you, what an honor it was for us to break records.
The fact that these three men, along with The Rock, appeared on both nights of WrestleMania was phenomenal in itself, but Rollins took it to an extreme level.
How Seth Rollins stole the show WrestleMania XL
While all the stars gave their best at this year’s annual event, Rollins proved he could take the full weight of fans’ expectations on his shoulders when he performed both evenings.
On the first night of the main event, Rollins and Rhodes faced The Rock and Reigns in a tag team match, where both suffered defeat and extreme punishment from The Bloodline. The following night, Rollins faced Drew McIntyre and lost his WWE World Heavyweight Championship, while also suffering a back injury the day before.
And if that wasn’t enough, he appeared again that night after his defeat to save Rhodes while fighting The Bloodline, where he was hit by Roman Reigns with a steel chair to his back.
But in a twist of fate, it allowed The American Nightmare to secure his victory as the new undisputed WWE Universal Champion and complete his story.
