Following the release of Taylor Swift’s latest album “Midnights,” DC-area fans saw a blank spot on Swift’s tour schedule suffocating the nation’s capital.
While fans have called for the singer to add a DC tour date, few are shaking the disappointment.
Some blamed Washington Commanders owner Dan Snyder for how Swift seemingly forgot DC existed, even after adding eight more tour dates to the original schedule.
Others try to influence the singer to change her plans – among these fans of the latter group was the famous conductor José Andrés.
.@taylorswift13 Taylor? And @Washington DC please? I will cook for you? https://t.co/XifaZvYtTs

Andrés, who runs the nonprofit World Central Kitchen, offered to cook for Swift. Maybe he could cook breakfast at midnight?
The Library of Congress offered access to its music collection to “sweeten” Andrés’ case.
We will sweeten @chefjosandres‘ offer with visit and tour of the @librarycongress. @taylorswift13 as you’ve probably heard, we have an amazing collection of music. Come see us in Washington. https://t.co/l5OMiIOvPS

The DC Public Library wants Swift to try the slide at the MLK Library — if she comes to town.
East @taylorswift13 Really pass up the opportunity to go down the MLK library slide? !
So funny! 🥰 pic.twitter.com/VE5ksWwL8y

The National Air and Space Museum says it would show Swift how to safely look directly at the sun – with one of their telescopes. The museum went so far as to offer to bring a telescope to Swift’s performance.
.@taylorswift13, we’re a bit concerned that you’re looking directly at the Sun (but never in the mirror). If you’re doing a show in DC, we’d love to show you how to observe safely with a special solar telescope. We could even bring one to the show! https://t.co/CBznTcbhrC

Fans hoping to see Swift’s concert will need to come up with a travel plan for the show. Closest location: Philadelphia.
