Major Chinese carrier China Telecom is selling phone cases for the new Huawei Mate 50 series for external 5G support, China Start Market reported on Tuesday. The case, developed by Shenzhen-listed tech company Soyea Technology, comes with an integrated e-SIM module to enable 5G communication. The case is sold with the phones, priced at 799 RMB ($113). Earlier this year, the company released similar phone cases for Huawei’s high-end P50 Pro, sold through local carriers, at the same price. According to the company’s official website, the latest generation of phone cases can preserve the phone’s fast charging function and accessory connectivity. [China Start Market, in Chinese]
