Comedy star Brad Williams said Blake Griffin could easily go from setting up screens to setting up jokes now that he’s retired from the NBA… tell TMZ Sports the former hoop is legitimately good at stand-up.
Williams said in Los Angeles on Tuesday – just hours after Griffin announced he hang up your basketball sneakers — that he’s seen the former Clippers forward rock the mic before…and he was seriously impressed.
And Williams told us that if Griffin used his newfound free time to really commit to stand-up, he could become a real player in the comedy world.
“I saw him do it in Montreal,” Williams said of Blake’s talent for cracking jokes. “And he’s good. And I hate that. Because you can’t be good at everything.”
Williams said Blake also had a ton of great material to work with… noting that as a former NBA player — and Kardashian’s ex — he had plenty of ammunition to make audiences laugh.
Blake, of course, has made no secret that he’s at least somewhat interested in laughter… he’s done stand-up routines several times over the years – and even once performed on a show hilarious. Roast Battle 2018 with Jeff Ross.
Griffin, however, obviously doesn’t need a new career if he doesn’t want one – he’s made over $250 MILLION in NBA contracts alone – and if he ultimately chose to find himself in a rocking chair on a porch somewhere, check As the clip comes out, it looks like Williams would definitely be great with that!
