Billie Eilish is the latest star to be trapped by Russian hoaxes masquerading as Greta Thunberg, when they called her for relationship advice.
Audio of the 18-year-old singer speaking to whom she thought was teenage activist Greta and her father Svante appeared online.
The clip hears “Greta” asking Billie to be involved in a charity single similar to Band Aid, to stop traveling by plane and to give him advice on a boy she sees.
Despite the voice accent at the end of the phone not looking like the real Greta, Billie and her mom Maggie were convinced they were talking about the real deal.
When asked if she could do boat tours instead of airplanes to help reduce her carbon footprint, Billie replied, “I wish it was that easy for me.
“The problem is that I have to be places, sometimes the same day. This is something that we have been trying to understand for a long time because it is not very good for the Earth and I know it.
“ I think a lot of people don’t know it, but I know it and that’s why it hurts me more because it’s something I really can’t do because of the planning problem, because I have to be in the same place one day so be immediately there the next morning.
When asked to help Greta with her boy problems, Billie replied, “I have had years of problems with boys, so I understand. If he doesn’t want to be with you, F him. There will be someone who will love you for who you are. “

Billie isn’t the only person hit by the fraudsters, as Prince Harry also spoke to the duo masquerading as Greta and Svante about his decision and that of Meghan Markle to leave the royal family.
One star who didn’t fall into the hoax was Troye Sivan, whose manager discussed the initial call with “ Greta’s father ” with her boyfriend, who pointed out that the real Svante speaks really good English , before they manage to communicate with Troye.
