A few hours ago we got our hands on Spotify’s newly released list which contains the top 10 most followed artist names across the globe and there our Indian pride Arijit Singh’s name was at #7, beating out Taylor Swift, Bad Bunny, and BTS. Apart from them, Ed Sheeran, at the top of the list by being in 1st position, followed by Ariana Grande, Billie Eilish, Drake, Justin Beiber and Eminem, are also in the game.

As soon as the list was posted on Reddit, a group of netizens praised Arijit Singh for earning a place among the global artists, while a few other people shared their different opinion. One wrote: “Indian music listeners are divided into jiosavvn, ganna, spotify and wynk so it’s taken all this time. And spotify isn’t even the most used, it’s ganna. ” Another commented: “Bad Bunny and Taylor Swift are the top 2 daily streaming artists in the world. It’s all about the algorithm.
