Bulls fans can’t wait to see White in the starting lineup, especially after his magical run in February when he won rookie of the month.
White is the first recruit in NBA history to score more than 30 points in three consecutive games on the bench. The Bulls did not draft the Whites with the seventh choice in total to be a bench player. Finally, Chicago will give the youth the keys to the offense and let him direct the show.
White has averaged 13.1 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game this season for Chicago. He shoots 39.4% from the field, 35.5% from beyond the arc and 79.0% from the free throw line.
The Bulls are 21-43 this season, which is good for 11th place in the Eastern Conference standings. However, they are still alive in the playoffs since the eastern back half is so poor.
Chicago lost to the Brooklyn Nets on the road on Sunday. White had 21 points on the bench in 35 minutes.
