As part of its celebrations for International Women’s Day, Apple has dedicated its home page to an interactive “women who change everything” feature. On computer and mobile, Apple’s home page has been transformed into a scrolling universe of biographies of influential women in modern culture, from Malala to Greta Gerwig.
Under the interactive collage, the Apple site offers registration links for Today at Apple and its new series She Creates, as well as awareness sections on projects like Kode With Klossy and the Malala Fund. Find out now at Apple.com.
You can use your finger or mouse to scroll and click on the portraits to reveal a short biography of each person featured. In the center of the universe is a link to Apple’s new ad behind the Mac, which showcases the same creative women and activists seen on the site.
Apple launched initiatives throughout March to showcase women’s work, including various new Today at Apple sessions, special editorial sections in the App Store and Apple podcasts, as well as new Apple playlists Music selected by leading female artists like Lady Gaga. and Taylor Swift.
There is also an International Women’s Day activity challenge for Apple Watch users, which you can win today by running for 20 minutes or more in a running, walking, or wheelchair session.
Today, we pay tribute to the women who drive us forward and celebrate the generations they stand on. Every woman deserves to be safe and treated equally. #InternationalWomensDay
