They ran the hit Cartoon Network series for six seasons and even starred in their own animated film.
And the Powerpuff Girls are finally back after more than 15 years of absence in a new live-action incarnation, rebranded as Powerpuff, starring Dove Cameron, Chloe Bennet and Yana Perrault.
The actresses were first spotted in their candy-colored dresses on Wednesday filming a scene for The CW’s live-action reboot pilot with teammates Donald Faison and Robyn Lively in Atlanta.

New look: Powerpuff Girls (LR) stars Dove Cameron, 25, Yana Perrault, 25, and Chloe Bennet, 28, were spotted filming a scene from their sequel live in Atlanta on Wednesday.
Cameron, 25, Bennet, 28, and Perrault, 25, played the roles of Bubbles, Blossom and Buttercup respectively, and their dress and hair colors matched the design of the original cartoon characters.
All three wore sleeveless mini dresses cinched around their waists with black belts, as well as white knee socks.
Cameron has her long blonde hair styled in two braids, while Bennet wore her long locks dyed red with a scarlet bow and Perrault had her raven braids styled in tight curls.
Cameron and Bennet wore the traditional rounded black Powerpuff Girls shoes, but Perrault’s Buttercup had a more understated pair of black Converse high top sneakers.
The three looked like they were about to jump into battle for an action streak.
I’ve always figured it out: Cameron, 25, Bennet, 28, and Perrault, 25, played the roles of Bubbles, Blossom, and Buttercup respectively, and their dress and hair colors matched the design of the original cartoon.

Blonde beauty: Cameron has her long blonde hair styled in two pigtails as she posed sensually for the camera
Cameron and Perrault appeared to be having a playful conversation on the sidelines as they laughed and smiled ear to ear.
Perrault, who is best known for starring in the Jagged Little Pill musical, inspired by Alanis Morissette’s classic album of the same name, threw a peace sign in the air and smiled for the cameras on set.
Meanwhile, masked crew members were working on setting up the equipment.
Cameron was seen puckering his lips as if for a kiss while chatting with his teammate.

The actors appeared to be assembled on a hill next to a large house.
Once it was time for them to film, Cameron and Perrault rushed down the hill, hair fluttering in the breeze.
At the same time, Bennet was showing off his character Blossom’s flying skills, which all three Powerpuff Girls are capable of.
She had two thick threads attached to a harness disguised by her black belt.
Schoolgirl look: Bennet wore her long locks dyed red with a scarlet bow as she filmed her scenes
Two crew members crouched behind the Agents Of SHIELD star and pulled her up via a pulley system attached to a large metal scaffolding.
She flew through the air with their help and was able to flip back and forth and plant the perfect landing.
Bennet also had downtime when she wasn’t on the wires, and she was spotted taking a phone call and enjoying iced coffee while relaxing on the lawn.

Also in the main cast was Scrubs star Donald Faison, who will play Professor Utonium, the creator and father figure of the Powerpuff Girls.
He looked casual but stylish in a muted gray jacket with a pink striped polo shirt and gray-blue pants.
Actor Clueless will play the scientist amid a midlife crisis as he tries to strengthen his relationship with his now adult daughters.
He was joined by actress Robyn Lively, who complemented it with a purple striped sweater and dark jeans.
The Twin Peaks actress has not been previously announced as part of the series’ cast, although she appears to be at least in the pilot episode.

So far, the cast is filming the pilot in hopes that a reboot will be ordered to a series based on it.
The Powerpuff Girls Live stream will have a slightly darker, jaded take on the characters, who are now in their 20s and bitter that they spent their childhood fighting crime.
According to Deadline, Bennet’s Blossom was the perfect kid among the girls, but now she’s anxious and reclusive, even as she struggles to lead the group again.
Cameron’s Bubbles was precocious in her childhood, which leads her to wanting to come together just for publicity, even though she comes to enjoy crime-fighting purely for merit.
Perrault’s Buttercup was initially the toughest of the trio, though she struggled to return to a life of crime after attempting to lose her old character and live an anonymous life.
