Earlier this week, the April cover of the InStyle star was released.
And the star talked about aging in Hollywood.
“As I said to a friend of mine,” You know what is so upsetting in the 1940s? My old tricks don’t work. ” [laughs] I have older brothers and sisters; I am the five year old baby. So I’ve always been the cute one and you get used to being the cute little one. Then you wake up one day, I basically put on lotion, ”joked the star.

“I do everything that Barbara Sturm does: hyaluronic, lightening for the face, cream for the face, cream for the skin. It’s so vain. But it does happen. It kind of hits you, ” added the brunette beauty.
And she feels like her appearance has changed.
“It’s very strange. I used to get by without makeup, ” said Holmes.
“When I was a teenager and a young actress, it was about being a little grungy. Now I say to myself “Oh my god, I have to do stuff!” It seems so superficial.
And she’s even careful at the gym.
“Now I really have to stretch after the peloton. Otherwise my back hurts and it goes against the goal. [laughs] When you are over 40, you really have to take your vitamins, ”she added.
Katie is now 41 but continues to thrive in Hollywood as she makes several films a year. She seems grateful that the old rule that actresses generally don’t work for more than 40 years has disappeared.
“People say you don’t really know yourself until you are 40. I’m 41 years old. I saw things. I have experienced things, ”admitted the single mother.

“I know what I’m talking about and I know my feelings and ideas are worth it. I’m going to listen to myself instead of relying on someone else. It is a big step as a human. It takes time.’
She even addressed the stress she faced after Tom Cruise’s divorce in 2012 after six years of marriage.
“It was an intense time. It was a lot of attention, and I had a little kid on it, ” said the star, who has a daughter Suri Cruise, now 14. We had fun moments in public. So many people I didn’t know became friends and helped us, and that’s what I love about the city.
Stressed: “This time has been intense. It was a lot of attention and I had a small child on it, ” said the star. “We had fun moments in public. So many people I didn’t know became friends and helped us, and that’s what I love about the city. Seen with Tom in 2011
Holmes did not hesitate to talk about how much she loves Suri.
‘I love him so much. My biggest goal has always been to nurture her in her individuality, ”she said.
“To make sure she is 100% herself and strong, confident and capable. And to find out. She came out very strong – she was always a strong personality. She will choose an activity and work her buttocks until she is really good at it. Then she says, “OK, I’ll try the next thing.” She is very focused and hard working.
And she talked about Suri’s early years when she was one of the most photographed children in the world.
“I must say that I recently saw a fan site [about her] displayed when she was a baby, and it was very intense. We were followed a lot when she was little, “ said the star who put Suri on the cover of Vanity Fair magazine when she was a baby.

“ I just wanted her outside, so I was walking her around to find parks at 6 a.m. when no one saw us. But there is a video where I keep it – she was 2 years old at the time – and she begins to greet the cameras. She is quite special. ”
She also talks about her early years in LA after leaving Ohio.
“I thought things were going to be really fun. My first day in Los Angeles was January 21, 1996. My mother and I were driving on Santa Monica Boulevard and we saw a large sign saying “Golden Globes”. So we went to sit on the stands in the rain to watch the movie stars arrive. We couldn’t believe what we had come across.
Holmes also said the actresses tried to keep their privacy private. Rather, they wanted to stay under the radar.
“When I started, it was all about being very mysterious,” said Katie.
Her little self: Katie spent a good part of her interview talking about Suri and her hard work. Seen in New York in July
“You were known by your work. There was a lot less attention in the 90s than there is today, and as a young actress, you just want to get the job. You want to be loved. You want a good grip and think, “Was I good enough?” ”
But now she really doesn’t need this feedback anymore.
“Over time, there is a transition. I now have my own confidence. I’m not looking for someone else to say “good job”. It’s more “What do we do?” It’s more collaborative, ”said Holmes.
