Hearbroken: Sian burst into tears as Roman paid homage to Joe on Monday
“I really love you, mate, so much. We all do. Hope you know this. We are so lucky to have known you. The world is a better place to have you in it. And now the stars have won in you an extraordinary gift. Look at everything you’ve done, Joe. Everything you have achieved, what you have built, who you have inspired.
“ Your talent and creativity are so immense, but more than that, you are the nicest, most hilarious, caring, fun, fiercely loyal and spectacular person we have ever had the pleasure of meeting. You are truly the best we have ever known. Our friend. My friend.
“For four years, you have been my comfort, my rock, my confidante. I told you all my secrets and you said you would take them to the grave. And now it looks like you’ve done just that, and it breaks my heart.
“ Words cannot describe this pain, it does not make sense and it will take time to process. I keep repeating: not you, please not you. But now you are at peace, you are in a better place. I will miss you so much Joe Lyons.
She continued, “Thank you for every crab dance, every ‘you’re embarrassing us baby’, every cereal box game, every 5 in the morning in a house we’re not invited to, every ‘bah bah’, every undersized chinos, every photobomb courtesy of your a ** e, every cocktail we rocked in your apartment or every night in my backyard doing things we shouldn’t be doing on a school night, every club where we sat in the plot corner, every time we were back and ready to do it all over again, every fucking laugh, every hug that meant the world because you made me feel safe and understood.
And thank you for being my favorite Valentine’s Day. We met in each other. I have never met anyone so strange and so wild, and together we were in chaos.
“Wherever you are, I hope you are causing chaos there too. We never wanted the party to end, and I don’t think this one was over either; I’ll just see you at the afterparty. Until then, I love you, mate. My thoughts are with your parents and Lou; Ro, Sonny and the team; Olly and everyone who loves you.
