Courteney Cox raised daytime summer dressing in a simple and trendy way today.
Coming out of the Malibu, California farmer’s market, 56-year-old “Cougar Town” looked elegant in a little black dress with a buttoned front and a cut hem just above the knee.
For the shoes, Cox selected flat sandals with big beige toes which seemed to be made of leather. The open toe silhouette showed the pedicure of the star “Friends”. Cox accessorized her look with a straw hat and a black and white checkered face mask.
The shoes accentuating the big toe started to be trendy for the spring 2019 season, first appearing on the runway during the Paris Fashion Week parade by Y / Project. The celebrity ensemble has fully embraced the trend – with Katie Holmes, Jessica Alba, Eva Longoria and Rihanna representing some of the stars who love big toe sandals.
One of the most prominent actresses of the 90s, Cox was then known for her signature clean style – kissing tight dresses, barely sandals and mom jeans as part of her minimalist uniform. These days, the actress ‘Mothers and Daughters’ closet seems to include a lot of skinny jeans and stylish sneakers, as well as comfortable sweaters and sophisticated button-down shirts.
Although Cox did not keep most of her wardrobe from the 90s, she did keep a few key pieces. Example: in a viral publication on Instagram in June 2019, the alum “Scream” shared a photo of her teenage daughter Coco, wearing a floral lace dress that she had kept since her “friends” days.
“I’m not the type to keep things but it was quite a good buy! 21 years later… ”, she wrote in caption to her article, which recorded over 743,000 likes.
