Jordan Pickford tried to shield team-mate Harry Kane from cameras coming too close to him after England’s World Cup exit.
The Three Lions were heartbroken in Qatar as they lost 2-1 to France in the quarter-finals on Saturday.
Aurelien Tchouameni put the defending champions ahead with a brilliant long-range effort, before Kane netted a 54th-minute penalty.
Olivier Giroud then put France back in front with 12 minutes remaining.
The England captain then had another penalty to possibly extend the game, but this time he sent it over the bar.
Kane was understandably devastated after the game, with French goalkeeper and Tottenham team-mate Hugo Lloris giving him a post-game hug.
England’s Pickford scared away cameras trying to get too close to his team-mate as they tried to capture his emotions after the final whistle.
Former Three Lions midfielder Danny Murphy told talkSPORT: “I think it’s brilliant what Pickford has done to get the cameras away from him.”
Kane himself was understandably heartbroken when he spoke to the media after the loss.
“It’s a really tough night to be in,” Kane said following the loss.
“I’m gutted, the squad is gutted. We were convinced we could achieve something special at this World Cup, but it came down to small details.
“I thought the night we had the best chances and the best spells in the game. It comes down to execution. As captain, I take it on the chin and the responsibility for missing the penalty.
“It’s hard to say for sure, but I can be proud of the group, proud of each other for what we’ve done. It will hurt for a while, but we’ll dust ourselves off to prepare for the future.
