Floyd Mayweather didn’t take much punishment throughout his storied, undefeated 50-fight boxing career.
The retired American great is known for his elite defensive skills which allowed him to confuse and dispatch a string of world-class fighters in his prime.
Now, at 45, the money man is still on the hunt for dollars.
These days, Mayweather does that by competing in exhibition fights for which he gets paid handsomely.
The first of these came on New Year’s Eve 2018, when he knocked out kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa in Japan.
Last year, Mayweather backed off the ropes again and went eight rounds with Logan Paul.
In 2022, he was even more active.
Floyd began in May with a fight in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, in which he defeated his former sparring partner Don Moore.

Last weekend, he returned to Japan and knocked out MMA fighter Mikuru Asakura.
However, Mayweather took a hard right hand in the process, which apparently came as a shock to him.
Slow-motion footage of the punch showed how Floyd was momentarily caught off guard.
He attempted to respond instantly with a big left hook, but missed wildly.
The punch clearly LANDED.

When the knockout came in the second round, Mayweather landed his own big right hand.
It crashed into the side of Asakura’s head, seemingly affecting his balance and leaving him unable to continue.
Some replays had fans suggesting if that shot even actually landed, but other angles proved it.
