Zlatan Ibrahimovic has signed a new one-year contract with AC Milan.
The legendary striker, who turns 40 in October, has scored 25 goals in 35 Serie A appearances in his third stint with the Italian giants.
A statement read: “AC Milan have announced that Club have extended Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s contract.
“AC Milan is the club for which Zlatan has played the most in Italy. After scoring 84 goals in 130 appearances for the Rossoneri, the Swedish striker will continue to wear the red and black jersey next season.
Ibrahimovic announced that “ the saga continues ” with a photo of himself signing the contract on his social media pages.
After a successful stint with LA Galaxy in MLS, the Swede joined AC Milan in December 2019.
Ibrahimovic’s 15 Serie A goals are expected to help Milan qualify for Champions League football for the first time since 2014.
Milan are second in the table and lead fifth Napoli by three points with six games to go.
Ibrahimovic, who has played for Barcelona, Manchester United, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain, will aim to lead AC Milan to a first Serie A title since 2011 next season.
