Zinedine Zidane says "it’s not going to be easy" for Real Madrid against Bayern Munich in the Champions League – Bavarian Football Works

As Bayern Munich continue to search for a new coach, Zinedine Zidane’s name has been raised as a potential option to succeed Thomas Tuchel after the season.

Zidane’s inability to speak German or English appears to be an obstacle to achieving that goal, but that hasn’t stopped the all-time great from giving his take on today’s showdown in Champions League between Bayern Munich and Real Madrid.

“The clashes we had with Bayern were always very good matches. These are the games we always want to play, because Bayern are also competitive, very, very strong. This isn’t going to be easy. It has the status of a European classic. But at the same time, Madrid is Madrid,” Zidane told Guillermo Rai of The Athletic (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).

Madrid may be Madrid… but playing at the Allianz Arena against a hungry Bayern Munich side will present a daunting challenge, even for a team that has won so much, so often.
