Zenvo TSR-GT revealed with 1,360 HP and 263 MPH top speed

Danish sports car manufacturer Zenvo Automotive hit the headlines a few years ago with the wild wing of its TSR-S handling like a contortionist. The new TSR-GT adopts a fixed rear wing and acts as the swansong for the TS range while serving as a low-drag, high-speed derivative. Changes to the bodywork make the hypercar as slippery as possible to unlock a higher top speed compared to previous TS-based derivatives.

Besides the aerodynamic improvements – which include a longer rear wing and an aerodynamic wheel disc cover – the TSR-GT also uses a much more powerful engine. The bi-supercharged (yes, twin) The V8 has a displacement of 5.8 liters and produces a colossal 1,360 horsepower. Compatible with E85 fuel, the flat engine generates an additional 183 hp over the power available in the standard TSR-S.

Thanks to a longer final drive of the helically-cut dog-engaging internal transmission, it can achieve an electronically regulated top speed of 263 mph (424 km/h). As a reminder, the TSR-S, which was intended for track use, reached “only” 202 mph (325 km/h).

As the name suggests, the TSR-GT is more of a grand tourer, which is why the bare carbon fiber interior of the TSR-S gave way to a more sophisticated cabin with different types of leather. Zenvo has also created new velor floor mats (with a leather edge) which are said to reduce noise coming through inside.

Only three hand-built cars will see the light of day and all have already been sold at an unspecified price. The GT follows the original track-only TSR of 2016 and the TS1 GT and TSR-S hypercars that followed. The latter will remain in production for the time being.

An all-new model is expected to hit the market in the third quarter of 2023. Zenvo says it will use a V12 with twin electric turbochargers to develop 1,200hp, plus an electric motor to bring the combined output up to 1,500hp or possibly as much. like 1,800 hp.
