Michael Hyssong, the man behind the YouTube channel Street Speed 717, caused a stir after jumping his Ram TRX over a stream earlier this year. Although the super truck survived, there could still be serious repercussions as the driver faces as many as 18 charges since the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission was not exactly thrilled with his shenanigans.
We’re no YouTube experts, but the video has racked up nearly two million views in just three months, so it must be popular and therefore profitable. Street Speed 717 probably thinks that the success of those videos (he also hopped a Ford F-150 Raptor on a Hummer) outweighed the legal risks involved, which prompted him to do another stunt.
This time around he used much more expensive vehicles by jumping a Lamborghini Urus over an Aventador. The spiritual successor to the LM002 actually belongs to his future wife, while the V12 supercar is part of his personal fleet. Setting up the Urus for the jump meant allowing the all-terrain mode to give it a bit more ground clearance by lifting the air suspension.
In the video explaining the charges against him by the CBFP, Michael Hyssong said the allegations would not prevent him from doing more jumps, promising to build more ramps to shoot additional videos. That’s exactly what’s going on here, and the math worked in its favor when the Urus managed to leap over the Aventador.
Time will tell if history will repeat itself and the new video will have legal repercussions as well. Since his YouTube channel is chock-full of vehicle destruction content, it’s safe to say that he won’t be ditching this type of content anytime soon.
