PHOENIX, 25 January 2021 / PRNewswire / – With the current pandemic taking its toll in most areas of life, positive and inspiring events have occurred in the midst of it all. Fourteen-year-old student Michael Aim, driven by kindness during the pandemic, gives back to the community by writing academic content for children. Michael Aims wanted to help children stay engaged and continue to learn during school closures due to COVID-19. He came up with the idea of writing children’s books that present academic content in very simple terms to very young children. It includes activities at the end of each book to help children remember the content by being more engaged. Entitled “Amazing Body”, the book is one in a series of three titles to date.
During the pandemic, Michael wondered how he could help him and an idea struck him. “One of my favorite teachers has young children, and the idea of entertaining children’s educational books was born,” said Michael, while explaining how the idea came about.
The young author started with books on human anatomy. The first title “Bobby the Brain” introduces young children to different parts and functions of the brain. The book includes activities to keep children engaged with the content. The following titles are about the heart and the liver – “Henry the Heart” and “Larry the Liver” follow the same format.
“I wanted to create books and magazines that will allow children to learn and engage by creating educational content with activities,” added Michael.
Michael said he thought it would be a great idea to write introductory anatomy books as part of science education. He adds that it seemed interesting to talk about parts of anatomy and physiology and to know what organs make the body work and how they work.
The book is already receiving 5 star reviews.
